Solar Plexus Chakra

Updated: Feb 24

Continuing from the sacral chakra blog, below are tips and advice to help us work, heal or unblock our solar plexus.

The Solar Plexus is the third of the seven chakras. Located in the upper abdomen, it is represented by the colour yellow and the element of fire. The Solar Plexus is linked to self-love, self-esteem, confidence, positivity, motivation, self-discipline, and strength.

If the Solar Plexus chakra becomes blocked or unbalanced, we may notice a feeling of weakness or lethargy, suffer from allergies, unsuccessful relationships, low self-esteem, liver issues, or experience digestion issues.

We may find ourselves asking why we attract negative people into our lives. They may be friends, family members, or partners. Why is our self-esteem low, and why do we lack self-love? These traits indicate negative, stagnant energy in our solar plexus chakra. If we seem to attract or surround ourselves with the same unpleasant people or experiences, the universe tells us now is the time to make a change. We must move forward and release any energy that does not benefit us.

The sacral chakra is linked to the element fire, so when the time comes, and we feel ready to ignite that cheerful and bright spark back into our lives, we will begin to notice a sense of feeling free, encouraging us to continue moving forward in a positive direction and attracting like-minded souls will be inspiring to not just us, but to others.

Letting Go

Pick up a pen and some paper and begin to release the negative beliefs, thoughts and memories that are being stored inside.

When you have finished, please do not read it back. Go outside with your paper, some matches and a fireproof bowl/bin, and light the paper. Every painful emotion will begin to crumble and turn to ash. This is a small but helpful way of starting the process of letting go.
