In Sanskrit, the word "chakra" means "disk" or "wheel" and refers to the energy centres in our body. These wheels or disks of spinning energy affirm potent qualities we can all access when we feel balanced and at peace with ourselves.
The human body and the Earth have several connected systems supporting life. The respiratory, digestive, reproductive, musculoskeletal, nervous, and immune systems are essential in human life. The planet's strength relies on the balance of its air, water, land, and life systems, so it will be no surprise to hear that the Earth also has a chakra system. Like veins, the world has what is known as energy circuits (commonly known as ley lines), a planetary grid system beneath the ground connecting each Earth chakra to the most majestic structures around the globe, releasing its spinning wheel of energy in these extraordinary locations.
The Root Chakra
Location: Mount Shasta, North California, USA
Element: Earth
The Root or Muladhara chakra is the first of seven chakras. The foundation of the chakra system is located at the base of the spine. When this red chakra is in balance, we experience feeling safe, grounded, strong, and stable. When imbalanced, the root chakra will have the opposite effect, creating feelings of uncertainty, instability, and unsafe, contributing to specific health issues in and around this location of the body.
All chakras are equally important; however, the base is where it all begins—associated with survival, health, abundance, connecting and grounding ourselves to Earth, and positively moving through life, working with and clearing our root chakra from negativity will help clear the way for a more abundant life.
Native Americans believe Mount Shasta's volcano could be the centre of the universe or even the creator's birthplace. According to many visitors, the energy radiating in this area is palpable. Mount Shasta is legendary. According to ancient civilisations, when the island of Lumeria was on the verge of sinking, the Lumerian people took refuge in this area, building an underground city named Telos. Tales remain of residents from Lumeria still living deep within Mount Shasta, with locals stating stories of strange lights on the mountain, unusual visitors to nearby towns, unexplained tunnels, and UFO activity. People have been left with a new sense of peace and spiritual awareness, having visited this beautiful location having never believed in spirituality before. They say Lemuria was where it all began. There is no denying that Mount Shasta has a unique magical flare that radiates peaceful, harmonious energy to those lucky enough to visit.
Sacral Chakra:
Location: Lake Titicaca, Peru / Bolivia
Element: Water
The Sacral or Svadhisthana chakra is the second of the seven chakras located below the navel at the centre of the lower abdomen. The orange chakra is the centre of creativity, desire, sexuality, and sexual emotions. Healthy energy is deposited in this area and is ready for future use. If the sacral chakra becomes imbalanced, we may feel lethargic, indecisive, and unknowingly self-sabotaging ourselves when moving forward. Working with and clearing our sacral chakra from negativity will give us a sense of joy, fulfilment, and accomplishment.
Lake Titicaca is the highest navigable lake in the world, lying partly in Peru and partly in Bolivia. Once at sea level, this magnificent area is currently 13,5000 feet above the Pacific Ocean. Four hundred and sixty miles long and up to one hundred miles wide. The lake was once the home of the Incas, a small tribe that steadily grew in power and considered the lake highly sacred.
Spiritual energy lines run beneath this extraordinary lake, linking masculine and feminine energies to the sacral chakra. Lake Titicaca is known to balance sexual energies, building a sacred gateway to birthing new ideas. Like its water element, the planet's womb, and the energy radiating from Lake Titicaca, it may allow thoughts and desires to flow, birth, and maintain a healthy outlook on relationships and material abundance.
Solar Plexus
Location: Uluru / Ayres Rock, Australia
Element: Fire
The Solar Plexus, or Manipura, is the third of the seven chakras located just above the navel at the centre of the abdomen. The yellow chakra emphasises personal power, wisdom, healing, ambition, desires, and emotions. A healthy solar plexus will enable us to strive through life, overcome challenges positively, and become inner warriors, allowing us to feel and work with our internal energy. An unhealthy solar plexus will leave us feeling resentful, angry, and unable to work out how to overcome specific challenges in life. Working with and clearing our solar plexus from negativity will leave us feeling empowered, focused, and ready for anything.
Urulu means Island Mountain. Rising several thousand feet from the Australian desert, these rock formations play an important spiritual role in the lives of local aboriginal groups, particularly the local Anangu tribe, which is considered Urulu's traditional landowners today. The Anangu people belong to the oldest culture known to man, dating back 60,000 years. They believe that their culture has always existed in Central Australia and that this landscape was created by the travels of great ancestral beings at the beginning of time. Uluru and Kata Tjuta are said to provide physical evidence of these ancient events and have been used for traditional ceremonies and rites of passage for over 10,000 years.
A fascinating tale from the aboriginal elders states many thousands of years ago, Pleiadians (star beings) came to Earth and embedded a "magic box" in Urulu. A gift from the stars that will one day be activated by eighty thousand pure-hearted humans. Once the magic box is activated, it will create a global healing and great awakening.
Heart Chakra
Location: Glastonbury, England
Element: Air
The Heart, or Anahata chakra, is the fourth of the seven chakras in the chest's centre. The green chakra is all about love, compassion and respect not just for others but, most importantly, for ourselves; this is how we should feel when balanced. If this chakra becomes imbalanced, we may feel disconnected from ourselves and others, lonely and anxious, and even give our love to the wrong types of people. Working with the heart chakra to remove negativity will bring a sense of warmth, happiness, and a feeling of contentment.

I am fortunate enough to have visited this beautiful area not so long ago. Having felt a little apprehensive about what to expect and whether I was spiritually advanced enough to feel the energy so many spoke of, I was automatically put at ease on our arrival. There is an instant calmness to the area, and the people here are simply lovely.
Our first visit, the Tor. Having had many spiritual downloads regarding the Tor and the main reason for my visit, I must say it took my breath away. A little overwhelmed (and out of breath), I sat on the grass and drank in the misty yet sunny morning views with a strange yet peaceful feeling of coming home. Not only could I feel the energies, but I could also sense ancestors from long ago, almost picturing them going about their day.
A visit to the Chalice Well at the base of the Tor was a must. Sitting on the stoned wall beside the beautiful lid, I closed my eyes and lost myself to the healing energy I felt surrounding this sacred site. Having opened my eyes a few minutes later, perched to my left was a beautiful little robin sitting beside me on the wall. The town and the abbey are equally beautiful, having a peaceful vibe, but for me, the Tor and Chalice Well is where I truly felt a connection.
I have no doubt Glastonbury is the heart chakra of our beautiful planet. I have never experienced anything like it; those memories will forever be etched on my heart.
Throat Chakra
Location: Egypt & Israel
Element: Aether
The Throat, or Vishuddha chakra, is the fifth of the seven chakras located at the neck's centre. The blue chakra is the source of our communication and creative expression, physically and mentally. An imbalanced throat chakra makes us lose focus and faith in ourselves, creating unnecessary stress. Working with the Throat chakra to remove negativity will develop a sense of freedom, expressing truths and the willpower to live life to the fullest.
Mount Sinai, The Great Pyramid, Mount of Olives
The Earth's throat chakra is located between three of the most well-known sacred sites on the planet, the Great Pyramid of Giza, Egypt, Mount Sinai, Egypt, and The Mount of Olives, Jerusalem. The ancients built the Great Pyramid on the Giza Plateau due to its location and potent energy vibrations, which just happened to be the Earth's centre. There is much speculation about why the pyramids were built and what they represent; however, having read Anna Jesus' Grandmother by Claire Heartsong, she writes the pyramids were used for spiritual initiations, which Jesus himself is alleged to have visited.
As for the other two locations, Mount Sinai, where Moses was given the Ten Commandments, and the Mount of Olives, where Jesus was seen ascending to Heaven, interestingly, when all three of these sacred sites are aligned on a map, they form an almost perfect right triangle. I could be here all day speculating; however, I remember reading that a triangle represents manifestation, enlightenment, revelation, and a higher perspective. So, regarding chakras and these miraculous sites, I think this fits pretty well.
Third Eye Chakra
Location: Possibly Glastonbury
Element: Light
The Third Eye, or Ajna, is the sixth of the seven chakras located above the eyebrows in the centre of the forehead. The Third Eye chakra takes us beyond the physical world, inspiring us to focus on our psychic gifts. If the third eye chakra becomes imbalanced, we can become unbalanced; negativity from the outside world can create a fog, ensuring our abilities go unused. Working with the third eye chakra to remove negativity will create a perfect balance, enhancing our psychic senses and seeing the world clearly for the beautiful planet it is.
The Tor, Glastonbury, England
The Third Eye chakra has no permanent geographical location and is the only Earth chakra gifted to change locations. Also known as the aeon activation centre, the third eye chakra is believed to relocate every aeon or new age. According to astrology, we are currently in the Age of Aquarius, which determines the third eye location to align with the Earth's heart chakra based at Glastonbury, England.
Crown Chakra
Location: Mount Kailash, Tibet
Element: Thought
The Crown, or Sahasrara chakra, is the seventh chakra located at the head's top and centre. The violet chakra is the centre of spirituality and enlightenment, facilitating wisdom flowing to us from the universe. An imbalanced crown chakra may leave you feeling disconnected from spirituality, searching for answers to spiritual questions and wandering through life without a purpose. Working with the crown chakra to remove negativity will create a spiritual connection to the universe, God, connections to angels, and much more.
Reaching almost 22,000 feet, Mount Kailash has come to be known as the stairway to Heaven. This beautiful mountain is highly sacred and is known to hold significant power; its very tip of the mountain is regarded as the central point of the cosmos' rotation.
Mount Kailash is the centre of a worldwide system that connects mystical sites and energy sites worldwide, including the Pyramids of Egypt, the Pyramids of Mexico, Easter Island, Stonehenge, and the North Pole... which constitute the global energy grid system.
It is a truly magnificent site to close with.
