Heart Chakra

Updated: Feb 24

Continuing from the solar plexus chakra blog, below are tips and advice to help us work with, heal or unblock our heart chakra.

The heart chakra is the fourth chakra. It is located in the centre of the chest and is represented by the colour green.

The heart chakra is all about love for ourselves and others. The heart chakra significantly impacts the previous three chakras: the root, sacral and solar plexus. The main focus of releasing and healing blockages in these locations is learning to love ourselves.

If the heart chakra becomes unbalanced or blocked, we may experience times of loneliness, feeling unloved, depressed, and disconnected from ourselves, others, and the world, with nothing making us happy. We may become used to feeling like this, not seeing a way out, or accepting this is our life. Plodding through life, not willing to or knowing how to change it. We may look to others hoping to find happiness; however, if we are unhappy within ourselves, how can others make us happy?

There is always light at the end of the tunnel; we need to continue until we reach the other side. Once this is achieved, a more confident us will flourish by letting go of the past and releasing previous anguish regarding matters of the heart. By remaining happy within, we attract good people into our lives. Our eyes and souls will awaken, and those who belong in our lives will remain, while those negative people will begin to disappear.

Life is full of choices. Unfortunately, we will all experience unpleasant things throughout our lives, but how we deal with them will map out our future. Showing a little love and compassion towards ourselves daily will help us create our own little fairytale.

Below are some excellent tips on how to help our heart chakra

Take a walk in nature. Breathe and appreciate the air, your view, the trees, the birds. Sit and watch the birds embrace their freedom. If you were a bird, which one would you be and why? Read up on the spiritual meaning of that bird; there may be a hidden message you may need to hear.
