Today's cards are from The Oracle of the Fairies by Karen Kay.
Below you will see a picture showing three cards 1, 2 & 3 (left to right). Close your eyes, tune in, and see which card you are drawn to. I have put crystals below each card as you may be drawn to a particular crystal instead. Scroll down to the number and read the message that is meant to find you
Fairy glamour is a form of magic used to make something appear different from what it really is. It's seen in many fairy tales, such as Cinderella and Snow White, where fairy glamour is used by the evil queen to disguise herself as an old crone. In its simplest form, fairy glamour often involves using cosmetics to give the appearance of being more youthful. In spiritual terms, it can mean you're showing one face to the world while keeping your true face or feelings hidden. Sometimes it's important to do this, especially if you feel threatened, but usually, its because you fear being seen for who you truly are. This comes down to learning to love yourself - not in a selfish way, but in a self-accepting way. Once you're able to accept yourself, others will accept you too, as they're merely a reflection of what we think and feel about ourselves.
This card may also be asking you to reflect on when you last wore a glamorous outfit or went to the hair salon. If you're neglecting yourself due to a busy job or home life, remember that making time for you is essential. Even just escaping for half an hour and taking a luxurious bath can help you feel uplifted and energized. Feeling good about yourself, no matter what your age, is beneficial not just for you but also for those around you - especially younger people, who are strongly influenced by the behavior of the adults around them.
The card may also be asking if someone is trying to pull the wool over your eyes and appearing as someone other than themselves.
George Bernard Shaw said, "We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing". There is so much wisdom and truth in this quote. All fairies love to have fun and play, and much like the 'Find Balance' card this message comes as an order for you to make time to play - especially if you feel you don't generally get a chance. Playing keeps us young at heart and helps us to connect directly to our inner child.
It's easy to get caught up in the daily grind of mundane chores and routines. This is okay as long as things are balanced. When you set aside some space for joyful activities, you'll find yourself even more energised for the work you need to do. You may even discover that your work now fills you with joy.
Fairies are experts at playing, so you could ask them to loosen up and have some fun by saying, "Fairies, show me how to play, and to fill with joy this very day!" Playtime will give you renewed vitality and add a spring to your step. So put on your coat and, if it's safe to do so, go and play right now!
What is the wish dearest to your heart? The Fairy Queen of Wishes reminds you to use your wishes wisely and to take action to make your dreams come true. Do you feel worthy to receive your wish? Clear any spiritual obstacles you're aware of and prepare to receive!
Wishing and manifesting are very similar. Start by simply writing your wish or wishes on a piece of paper; This is the first act of manifestation, as your pen touches the paper you're starting to 'ground' your wish into the earthly realm. Then imagine what it will feel like if your wish is granted; visualising your wish will help to bring it into being. Sit quietly in meditation for a while, then say out loud "Dear fairies, this is my wish. Please help it to be. I am open for you to inspire me". When you wish in this way, you're co-creating with the fairies. Now be receptive to any signs or inspirations you receive over the coming days or weeks.
When you pull this card, it may be that you're about to receive a fairy gift - or you're being reminded to offer a gift to someone else; perhaps it's their birthday or anniversary. Receiving a gift reminds someone that another person cares about them, and sometimes when we give a gift we make a wish come true for that person. Of course, the highest form of giving is to do so without thought of receiving in return.
